The school emphasises all round
development through a balanced programme of extra curricular activities that inculcate team spirit, exploration and development of each students’ potential and confidence.
The extra curricular activities include field trips, trekking, educational trips, projects and leadership camps. Interest based clubs such as drama, debating, elocution and public speaking, music, craft, creative writing and meal planning and cooking are conducted on a regular basis. Inter House competitions are held in sports, public speaking, dance, quizzes, art, music and essay
writing.
Guided by specialist teachers, The Westminster School offers a variety of extra-curricular activities both as part of the planned school day and after school. These provide opportunities for students to explore their interests and develop new skills and talents. Many of these activities are team based enabling students to work together.

The Westminster School also hosts two major inter- school events every year, The Marathon and the Junior Soccer, in which several schools from the Emirates participate. All these varied activities help develop good team spirit and healthy competition.
Specialist Clubs
At the Westminster School we make every effort to understand each individual child’s strengths and aptitude, to see how we can best address them. A range of specialist clubs provide enhanced guidance and training to students, helping them enhance their skills in their particular field of interest. Such focused learning helps students work well in groups, take responsible and independent decisions, and understand better their areas of potential and proficiency.

• Art and Craft Club
Art and craft specialist club is introduced at an early stage to help the students in the pursuit of artistic and creative excellence.
• Environment Club
The Westminster School Environment Club is a part of the United Nation’s Environment Programme and with the Emirates Environment Group. As part of the Club, students participate in various clean up drives, they learn more about the environment and the conservation and management of resources. The students are driven by the enthusiasm to make sure the environment they live in is clean and conducive to learning. This has been extended to recycling waste and cleaning neighbouring public areas.
