At The Westminster School we are committed to preparing students for nothing less than excellence and a promising future. Our objective is to support students intellectually, socially and emotionally, preparing them as empathetic leaders and knowledgeable scholars who are committed, challenged and celebrated. With an international student body, a close-knit community and a highly-engaged teaching faculty, we are bound to provide students with a holistic student experience, equipping them with not just knowledge but the skills that tomorrow demands.
We offer General Certificate of Education (GCE) at Advanced level (A Level) as a two year programme. The first year (year 12) is the Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS) and the second year (Grade 13) is a continuation to complete the A-Level programme. Entry into Year 12 is competitive and places are only given to students who achieve the required IGCSE grades for AS and A Level study. There is no automatic progression from Year 11 to Year 12.
AS Level is typically taken at the mid-point of an A-Level programme. We offer AS Level as a qualification in its own right to increase breadth in the curriculum and to allow students to complement other subjects that they are studying.
We achieve this objective through our highly-experienced teachers who specialize in their subject field. We offer students a range of subject choices, including core subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Language which are crucial in enhancing student portfolios and academic outlook. These subjects are offered under various examination boards that are determined by the syllabus of each so as to ensure students can achieve excellent results from renowned examination boards while also exploring different learning approaches that are optimal for the subject concerned. At Sixth Form, TWS has a fortified track record of continually improving student results, for example, over three quarters of students achieve the highest grades of A*-B and it is common for the school to see UAE and World toppers amongst its students. The consistency of these high results substantiates what we at the Sixth Form promise to deliver.
Personal & Community Development
With an endless range of activities, events and training, at TWS we are dedicated to provide students with the resources and the opportunities to develop their skills and qualifications, not just to prepare them academically, but personally and socially. These activities, training and events are established as traditions or new opportunities to guide students in finding the creative and challenging sides of their character while enhancing their personal wellbeing. Over the years, TWS has acquired a range of partnerships and resources that led to the development and availability of the 'Skills Development Program', 'Community Service' opportunities (internal and external), a wide range of competitions (internal and external), professional training, internships, peer counselling and work experience opportunities. These are channeled and facilitated by our career counselling faculty.

While these opportunities call for the celebration of the well-rounded students in the making, we also celebrate those who have attained any academic or extra-curricular award beyond the school. This is in evidence of the genuine involvement and commitment we at TWS follow in parallel to the pedagogy employed.
A value that we at the Sixth Form hold close is be involved in the development of every student administered. No student graduates without a life-long connection made at TWS. We ensure that students are accompanied in their transition to higher education. With guided steps and expert advice, we continually endeavor to send confident scholars into prestigious universities and workplaces, however, our priority is building charismatic leaders or admirable personas or status-quo challengers with character and morality as the fiber of their being.
